CAMPER SENDING SERVICE
(Invite all who are planning to attend Luther Point this summer to come forward during worship.)
Pastor/Youth Worker/ Assisting Minister: Today we are celebrating our partnership in ministry with Luther Point Bible Camp. You have each heard God’s call to attend Bible Camp this summer. At Luther Point you will experience God’s love in amazing new ways by living in God’s creation, meeting new friends and worshipping daily. As the Holy Spirit prepares your hearts and minds for this camp experience we want to pray with and for you. After each petition the congregation will respond with “we pray to you Lord” Let us pray:
L: For safe travel to camp and safety while there,
C: We pray to you Lord
L: For the relationships that will be made and strengthened at camp,
C: We pray to you Lord
L: For the new ways campers will experience your love through worship, games, nature hikes, Bible study, and all that camp has to offer,
C: We pray to you Lord
L: For the Luther Point Staff who will need strength and guidance to serve you this summer as they work with campers,
C: We pray to you Lord
L: For the parents and other family members who will miss the campers while we are away from home,
C: We pray to you Lord
L: For your Holy Spirit to work in exciting and unexpected ways through Luther Point’s ministry as campers learn about Jesus and grow closer to you
C: We pray to you Lord
L: We pray all of this in Jesus’ name.
C: Amen
astor/Youth Worker/ Assisting Minister: Listen, God is calling. That is the theme at Luther Point this summer. Each of you have been called by God to this special place. Now may you go forth with God’s blessing and return with wonderful stories to share.
