How Do Canteen Cards Work?
- At check-in, your child will turn in any spending money or cash they have with them to be made into canteen cards.
- Campers will be given their canteen cards before the first canteen time.
- When your child makes a purchase at the canteen, the appropriate amount is marked off their card.
- At the end of your child’s program, any money remaining on the canteen card is reimbursed in the Dining Hall.
Why Canteen Cards?
- Canteen cards reduce the risk of loss. If your child loses his/her canteen cards, we can re-issue their cards.
- Canteen cards reduce the risk of theft . Each canteen card has your child’s name on it and staff know if a child is using someone else’s canteen card.
- Canteen cards eliminate handling cash during the week, making it easier for your child and our staff .
