An experience like no other! It doesn’t get any bigger and better than Lake Superior, so don’t pass up this opportunity. Campers will spend one day receiving kayak training at Luther Point with trained guides and then will take off for a three day, two night trip in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on Lake Superior. Nights will be spent sleeping in tents on different islands while cooking over the fire and taking in the beauty of Lake Superior. Throughout the trip there will be plenty of time for worship, Bible study, swimming, and star gazing.
NO KAYAKING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
While on the kayak trip, the group is secluded and on their own, however they are reachable in case of emergency. Weather on Lake Superior can be dangerous, but the trip will be led and supervised by trained and experienced guides. The group is also in contact with the National Park Service while on the trip in order to receive weather updates. The group is back to camp Thursday evening in time for dinner and the Clown Service.
Parents and other important people are invited to join your camper for Closing Campfire when you pick your child up. Come share what they learned at camp!
Canteen will be open when you drop your camper off and when you pick your camper up, as well as periodically while they are on-site.
